The world of Paradox Live is set in the future where a hip-hop project by Avex and GCREST takes place.
In this world, rappers have special accessories that contain Phantom Metal, a metallic substance that has a unique property: it reacts with the rappers’ DNA and creates illusions that reflect their emotions during the performance.
The result is a new type of concert that is both crazy and gives mind-blowing animation.
The story of Paradox Live follows four hip-hop teams that participate in an event at the Club Paradox, a famous stage for rap battles.
The teams are BAE, a trio of charismatic idols who aim to be the best in the world; The Cat’s Whiskers, a group of four childhood friends who love music and mischief; Cozmez, a duo of mysterious hackers who use their illusions to manipulate information; and Akan Yatsura, a quartet of rebellious delinquents who rap with passion and fury.
Their battle at the Club Paradox attracts the attention of Buraikan, the legendary hip-hop team who is ace at Phantom Metal and disappeared from the scene years ago.
Buraikan decides to face the team once and this time eight teams are fighting for the crown. The winner will get to face Buraikan themselves and claim the title of the ultimate hip-hop team.

from the incredible saturation of hip-hop culture.
Rappers have accessories containing a metallic substance called Phantom Metal. Through chemical reactions with their DNA,
they create illusions linked to their emotions, driving young people wild with spectacular stage shows.
At the Paradox Live event, held at the legendary CLUB Paradox,
which has suddenly returned to the scene, four teams—BAE, The Cat’s Whiskers, comes, and Akanyatsura—battled for supremacy.
Although Cozmez seized the victory, the intensity of the struggle won the hearts of legendary rappers BURAIKAN, igniting the spark of a new event.
After that, BURAIKAN went all over Japan to spread the word about the new event: “This event will determine the next legendary artist. There is only one condition for participation—being a Phantom Rapper.
Your position, your title: they don’t matter. Come on, everyone.”
Starting with this message, Inspired by this message, many intensely skilled contestants approached BURAIKAN. From the most outstanding candidates, eight teams were selected.
